Prating Pirates 2

Previous Prating Pirates (loosely connected).

Emperor: Are you sure this is safe?

Dragon: *Roars*

Ryuu: Sure it’s safe; see that dragon?  We’ve got to put the gold we’re bringing back there and then – ! No one could ever get past my dragon!

Emperor: *dryly* That’s my point.

*puffing*

Emperor: These chests are heavy, there’s a dragon in the way who we’re supposed to get past, and…

Ryuu: AND all your gold will be safe from pirates in just a moment; here, I’ll get these behind the dragon, whose name shall be… Akilakomey, and you can go.

Emperor: Well, well then…  good day…

*Emperor’s feet shuffling quickly*

*muffled footsteps* *low whistling in background*

Mikara: *gasps* Ryuu!

Ai: Don’t be irrelevant!

Mikara: Irrelevant my foot!  Look, he’s gonna put the treasure on the dragon!  A docile critter that.  I’m going to say hi.

Ai: Aye?

Mikara: *whispers* That was code for: you get the treasure while I distract them!

Ai: Uh…

Ryuu: *in a baby voice* Well, Akilakomey, we’re ready to fly off, are we not?  Oh, the Emperor will be so tickled to find out he left a pirate to keep the treasure from pirates!  Hahaha!

Mikara: Oh ho!  My sorry lad, is this your cute little pet?

Ryuu: Mikara!

*drawing swords*

Mikara: Come down and fight me!  You’re not afraid of a pirate, are you? Captain told us to keep you out of trouble.

Ryuu: *jumps down*

Ai: So we have decided to take all the trouble for ourselves!

Ryuu: Trouble isn’t the word for it.

*roaring*

Ryuu: Fire away, me dragon!

*fighting*

*crash*

Ryuu: Ha!  So much for the distraction – guard the treasure, Akilakomey!

*more fighting and yelling on the part of Mikara, with deep groans from Ai*

*sheathing of sword, ropes being tied*

Mikara: Arrr… we’ll be back, Ryuu.

Ryuu: *laugh* *whistling out of earshot*

Ai: So much for your great idea, Mikara.  I’d like to see how you plan on untying us!

Mikara: There’s good time coming, Ai.

Ai: True, and so’s Christmas, but it’s a long way off.
